How To Keep A Flame Genie Burning
At the start of each fire, you should load the Flame Genie with pellets only up to the interior fill line. We've had the best results by filling it to the line as closely as possible. Not too little and not too much. If you stick to it, you'll have a much better time of it and you'll tend to enjoy your Flame Genie that much more. Flame Genie should be placed on a non-combustible surface, such as a patio block, which will also act as a catch for the small amount of ash generated by the Flame Genie. Load the Flame Genie with approximately 2 — 2 1/2" of wood pellets before lighting. Fat Wood works well to start your Flame Genie.

The flame pattern is nice to look at once it get going and it does put out plenty of heat. The pellets are readily available at stores like Lowe's, Home Depot, Walmart and Tractor Supply. We got ours at Tractor Supply $2.99 for a 40 pound bag. What we have found that most times we burn about 20 pounds a night and you do have to keep adding pellets to keep the fire burning. But at 20 pounds a To start a fire, you fill the thing to the depth indicated by a few cutouts on the inside of the pit. This is a depth of about 2" of pellets. Get your fire going and within maybe 10-15 minutes it'll get hot enough to start the secondary burn around the top ring of vent holes. This fire will be very hot and amazing in appearance. Nearly zero smoke.
